We've hit the £1,000 mark on our JustGiving site for the Scotland team so a huge thanks to all who have sponsored us so far. Adding that together with the main JustGiving site for the event, we're set to raise a huge amount of money for Cancer Research UK which is great!
Cancer Research UK is the largest single funder of cancer research in Europe and is leading the world in finding new ways to prevent, detect and treat the disease. The charity receives virtually no government funding for research and is therefore reliant on the generosity of the public. Around 285,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year in the UK and Cancer Research UK works to improve understanding of cancer and develop better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
