Well, I've changed the tyres (for slicks - maybe a mistake given the weather forecast), swapped gel seats, got some padded shorts and have packed the sunglasses, suncream and vaseline! Begining to wish I'd done a little bit more training though (or got the 'bike sail' sorted a bit quicker) but no going back now...
...just time to load up the ipod...
...now, where did i put that Top Gun album...

D-Day -1
The bikes are beginning to pile up in the Newcastle canteen, can whoever has stolen Marc Nardini's front wheel and replaced it with a tin tray please return it before the morning as it may make for a bumpy ride.
